Our latest adventure took us to the captivating Paradise Cove Hotel, a hidden gem nested along the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Welcome to a virtual journey to the enchanting shores of Mauritius, where we recently had the privilege of experiencing paradise in its truest form.

One of the standout features of this resort is that it is an adults-only hotel. This provides childfree couples the tailored retreat they seek, from romantic starlit dinners to undisrupted poolside relaxatraluion. The absence of the typical noise associated with family-oriented resorts made our time at Paradise Cove all the more immersive, allowing us to escape into a world of pure bliss.
The ambiance was undoubtedly refined, yet effortlessly relaxed, fostering an atmosphere where we could truly unwind.
Arrival and First Impressions
From the moment we were dropped off at the hotel, the warm and welcoming atmosphere embraced us. The staff not only greeted us with genuine smiles but also assisted in carrying our bags, setting the tone for a personalized experience.
The check-in procedure was a delightful departure from the ordinary. Seated comfortably in the lobby bar, we were offered local cocktails that immediately transported us to the island’s essence. This approach made the check-in process more than just a formality; it was a warm and welcoming introduction to the resort.
Following check-in, we were treated to a comprehensive tour of the resort’s offerings. From the inviting pools, including a heated option, to the various lounge areas, and the three distinctive restaurants, every corner of Paradise Cove Hotel beckoned us to explore. The staff’s dedication to ensuring we had an unforgettable experience extended to sharing all the activities available, promising days filled with both relaxation and excitement.
The Accommodation
During our 14-night stay at Paradise Cove Hotel, we enjoyed a Deluxe Double Room with a lovely view of the Cove. It exuded a sense of modern romance, artfully merging contemporary luxury with the island’s natural allure. The picturesque view outside our window served as a constant reminder of the paradise that lay just beyond our door.
Our room featured a generously sized double shower, offering ample space for relaxation – a perfect fit for us as a couple following a daily routine. Gone were the days of waiting for our turn! Moreover, the bathroom incorporated a clever design element: doors that could be opened to seamlessly connect it to the bedroom, giving it a contemporary touch. This not only enhanced the perception of openness but also facilitated better ventilation, preventing our clothing and personal items from becoming damp. What’s more, the bedroom was equipped with a smart TV that we synchronised with our Chromecast for on-demand streaming of Netflix and Disney+. The TV arrangement was thoughtfully organised, granting us instant access to vital details about our stay, encompassing dining choices, activity options, flight particulars, weather forecasts, and more.
Culinary Delights
Our gastronomic journey at Paradise Cove Hotel was nothing short of a revelation. With four exceptional restaurants to choose from, we embraced the Dine-Around concept, allowing us to discover the unique flavours of three of them: The Dining Room, XO, and Peninsula.
Each restaurant had its own distinctive personality. The Dining Room, the resort’s main culinary hub, introduced us to contemporary Mauritian cuisine with elegant white china and cutlery. XO transported us to the nuanced world of Japanese flavours, while The Cove offered a romantic seafood escape harmonising with the serene lagoon surroundings.
Our favourite, Peninsula, provided a trendy and contemporary setting where we indulged in delectable tapas and shared meals. The combination of flavours, textures, and the vibrant atmosphere made each meal a celebration of culinary excellence. Amidst the stunning surroundings, the dining experiences at Paradise Cove Hotel became cherished memories that brought us closer to the heart of Mauritian culture and cuisine.
Though we didn’t dine at The Cove, we were not left wanting. The myriad options available at the other restaurants ensured that we were spoiled for choice, and the diverse culinary experiences we enjoyed exceeded our expectations.
While none of the restaurants offered traditional room service, the Stay Bar seamlessly provided all the room service you would ever need, ensuring we could enjoy culinary delights from the comfort of our room, whenever we desired. It was a particularly nice setup, available for snacks and a wide selection of cocktails. It became our go-to place during the day.
Additionally, there was the Peninsula Bar that we fell in love with. The view from the Peninsula Bar was simply breathtaking. We spent hours there, both during the day and evening. On Friday and Saturday nights, they hosted a Sunset View moment from 5 to 7 PM, allowing us to watch the sun go down and be in awe of the incredible view. We were captivated by the place from the very first moment we saw it.
I said YES!
On our second evening in the resort, my partner and I experienced a moment that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Our dinner turned into an unexpected, beautiful chapter of our journey together. With heartfelt words and shining eyes, my partner’s heartfelt proposal and my tearful “Yes” painted a picture of love, destiny, and the start of an exciting new phase in our story. Our engagement at Paradise Cove Hotel isn’t just a memory—it’s a testament to the power of love, the beauty of unexpected moments, and the enchantment of a destination that holds a piece of our hearts.
As we continue writing the pages of our journey, we’ll forever hold dear the chapter that unfolded at this idyllic haven. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that love stories are woven into the fabric of places, moments, and memories. And for us, Paradise Cove Hotel will forever be the backdrop of a love story that’s only just begun.
Infinity Pool
The infinity pool near the Peninsula is undoubtedly a crown jewel deserving its own spotlight. This exceptional feature stands as a testament to the breathtaking beauty of the resort’s surroundings and makes for an unforgettable experience.
Nestled against the backdrop of the mesmerizing Indian Ocean, the infinity pool offers a visual masterpiece where the waters seem to seamlessly merge with the horizon. As we dipped into the pool’s crystal-clear waters, we were treated to awe-inspiring panoramic views that stretched as far as the eye could see. Each moment spent in this infinity pool was a sensory delight – the gentle caress of the warm water, the refreshing breeze carrying the ocean’s whispers, and the stunning visuals that invoked a profound sense of tranquility.
The carefully designed architecture of the pool blended harmoniously with its natural surroundings. The seemingly boundless expanse of water created an illusion of endlessness, making it an ideal spot for capturing photographs that encapsulate the true essence of paradise. The infinity pool’s unique vantage point allowed us to appreciate the breathtaking island vistas from an entirely new perspective.
Whether it was an early morning swim while watching the sunrise paint the sky with hues of gold and pink, or a leisurely afternoon lounging in the water, the infinity pool provided us with moments of serenity and pure bliss. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the ocean, we found ourselves immersed in a world of unmatched beauty.
For those seeking to unwind, this infinity pool was more than just a recreational space; it was a sanctuary of relaxation and a portal to the boundless wonders of nature. Every visit to this pool became an unforgettable experience, etching memories into our hearts that will always be associated with the breathtaking beauty of Paradise Cove Hotel.

A special mention is due to the incredible individuals who made our stay extraordinary:
- Juliana and Céline from the Instagram team, who have been so helpful and responsive before our trip, and had already set the tone for what would be a remarkable stay.
- Manoj, the two Jonathans, Lavish, Roy, and Yodish, who turned every moment into a celebration, ensuring we were always taken care of and pampered like royalty.
- Tulsi, the Alcohol Doctor and Master Rum Extraordinaire, whose knowledge and passion for rum opened up a new world of flavors and experiences.
- Ved, a remarkable young man whose work ethic and exceptional people skills left a lasting impression on us. We have no doubt he will achieve great things.
Ratings
Location
I'd give this hotel an 8 out of 10 for location. While the interior is impressive, it's worth mentioning that there aren't nearby city amenities within walking distance. Taxis might be necessary for shopping. However, the hotel's attentive service is reassuring, and during our stay, we did not feel the need to leave.
Price
The all-inclusive package for a Double Room at Paradise Cove hotel comes at a rate of 548 EUR per night, while the highest priced option goes up to 874 EUR per night. This option provides a comprehensive and worry-free stay that adds to the allure of the experience.
However, it's important to note an intriguing aspect of the pricing structure: an automatic 500 MUR (Mauritian Rupee) tip is included for every service or product purchased. If you are not careful, you will miss it. This includes products, which might raise an eyebrow or two. Nevertheless, while it's not budget-friendly, the adage "you get what you pay for" holds true here. The experience is one of relaxed, undisturbed luxury that justifies the cost.
Venue
There is so much to say about the grounds of Paradise Cove Hotel - from the restaurants, to the bars and pools, this venue is an oasis of calm and luxury. In addition, the newly expanded Spa creates a true sanctuary of well-being. This enchanting space invites relaxation and a connection with nature, offering an exploration of the renowned French brand "Cinq Mondes'" "Beauty Rituals of the World." We tried the couples massage kiosk and came our more relaxed than ever.
Relaxation
For the adult-friendly aspect alone, I'd rate this hotel a perfect 10 out of 10.
As someone who seeks out adults-only resorts, I understand the desire for uninterrupted relaxation. This hotel caters exclusively to guests aged 18 and above, creating an environment perfectly suited for those who want to unwind without any disturbances.
However, everything around Paradise Cove exudes serenity, calm and relaxation.
Verdict
Our 14-night stay at Paradise Cove Hotel was nothing short of magical.
Amidst modern luxury and the natural beauty of Mauritius, we found ourselves enchanted by the warm hospitality, unforgettable experiences, and breathtaking vistas. Our engagement on this blissful island marked a special chapter in our journey, and as we look ahead to our upcoming honeymoon, one thing is certain – Paradise Cove Hotel has left an indelible mark on our hearts. While the world beckons with new destinations, this is the only place we’ve ever considered returning to (so far) a testament to its unique charm and everlasting allure.
